While every family tree begins with the family, research can document and correct family memory, which may with time. Family search queries allow Sephardic Genealogical Journeys to follow unique branches of your family tree, often uncovering surnames and locations of lost relatives. Also, there are some resources that are available through research that family members may not be aware of or may not have the time to find on their own.

Using the information and photos provided as a starting point Sephardic Genealogical Journeys will also conduct its own research.

New to the genealogical world is the recommendation to include a medical pedigree (optional). While some families find this intrusive, the tracing of genetic disorders may save the life of a descendant and having a medical pedigree can be beneficial.
